Behind every product crossing our borders, there is a story of resilience.
Meet Diane, a young cross-border trader from Hanoukopé Market in Lomé. Like many women traders, she faced road harassment, illegal fees, and delays that threatened her livelihood.

Through WACTAF’s technical support and AGRA’s financial support, under the framework of the Strengthening the Participation of Women and Youth in Cross-Border Trade in West Africa project, Diane gained access to cooperative structures, identification systems, and financial management training — helping her protect her business and grow her income.
Empowering women traders means strengthening regional trade, food security, and economic resilience across West Africa.
